why I just deleted 161 emails

I just deleted 161 emails from my Newsletter.

And I already know what you think haha

Why the F should someone delete 161 hard-earned emails ??

Well… let me explain please:

Some of you probably have low open rates, right ?

And some of you probably are sad because of that, right ?

YES.

Now, listen closely…

Low open rates doesn’t mean that your emails are bad, okay…

I mean, yes… some of you can’t write, but that’s not always the case.

The problem lies completely somewhere else:

It’s the ‘Freebie Seekers’.

The guys who signed in to your newsletter because of a giveaway, but then NEVER EVER opened an email again.

I had dozens of people who had a 0% open rate of my emails.

And others with a 100% open rate of my emails.

This shows me, that my emails are VERY WELL written, but some guys just don’t read emails in general.

And guess what ?

I DELETED THEM ALL.

However.

If you use Beehiiv as the platform for your Newsletter… 

Here is the quick and easy way to delete them.

Audience → Segments → Create Segment → Dynamic → Define Conditions → + Condition → Engagement → Open Rate → is less than → 20% → Save Segment → the ‘v’ right next to ‘Quick Export’ → Delete them.

(I wasted 20 minutes doing it manually)
