- why you need a USP to make money
why you need a USP to make money
(steal this blueprint)
hey hey hey
I’m sitting at my desk, sipping some coffee while taking ‘a free day’ from school.
The weather now is pretty peaceful, contrary to yesterday evening - it was SUPER STORMY, literally everything on our balcony flew around.
And the best part ?
I forgot to close my window… yes, that’s hail all over my bed.
However.
Today I want to talk about a problem that many of you guys have, and of course I’ll tell you how to solve it.
Now, here’s the problem:
You don’t stand out amongst your competitors
The big solution for the problem is a USP.
Unique-Selling-Proposition for those who don’t know…
Alex, what is a USP, and how can I use it to make more money ?
Listen what my homie GPT has to say…
A Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is a distinct feature or benefit that sets a product or service apart from competitors, uniquely appealing to target customers by addressing specific needs or solving particular problems.
Man… I like this bot.
But now that you know what a USP is, let’s get over to the creation of your own one.
So basically, there are 5 Steps to take so.
#1 Understand Market & Audience
So firstly, you need to do some market research about your target audience's needs, pain points, etc…
I think you already know the game.
#2 Unique Qualities
Now, as always… we’ve got to answer some questions.
What are your core strengths ?
→ Unique features and benefits
→ Focus on aspects your competitors can’t easily copy
What is your Value proposition ?
→ The primary value of your product (cost savings…)
→ The emotional & rational benefits for your customer
#3 Competitors
So essentially, you do some market research again.
What are the USP’s of your competitors ?
And how can you make your product different from others ?
#4 Craft USP
You NEED to know what makes you different from others.
What is special about my product ?
What do I have, that others don’t have ?
Why should someone buy from me ?
And SUPER IMPORTANT:
Be precise about it, and show your customers how your product makes their life BETTER.
Note that down… seriously.
#5 Improve
This one is self-explanatory.
Analyze what people like or don’t like, and adjust your offer.
You can do this by:
> Asking for honest feedback of your customers
> Market Changes
> Surveys
#6 Bonus:
Firstly, here are some examples of what the WHALES in the market are doing:
Domino’s Pizza: “You get fresh, hot pizza delivered to your door in 30 minutes or less – or it’s free.”
Emphasizes speed and a guarantee.
FedEx: “When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.”
Highlights reliability and urgency.
M&Ms: “Melts in your mouth, not in your hand.”
Focuses on a unique product feature.
And secondly, here’s a template you can use:
[Product/Service Name] is the only [product/service category] that [unique benefit] for [target audience].
So… that’s basically it.
Now, the best part of this email…
The daily Bible Verse(s):
'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” '
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.'
Have a nice day.
See you tomorrow.
Alex.
